How much does a local move cost?+
Local NYC moves are flat-rate based on home size, distance, and crew. A typical 1-bedroom in Staten Island starts around $600. We give you the exact number in writing — no hourly surprises.
Are you licensed and insured?+
Yes. We're a fully licensed NY mover and a long-time Wheaton World Wide Moving agent (USDOT 070719). Every move is fully insured.
Do you handle long-distance moves?+
Absolutely. As a Wheaton agent, we move customers from Staten Island to anywhere in the lower 48 states.
Can you move a piano or specialty items?+
Yes — pianos (including baby grands), gun safes, antiques, art, pool tables. Our crew is trained on specialty equipment.
Do you offer packing services?+
Full-service packing, partial packing, and supplies. We'll wrap China, glassware, art and electronics with the same care we'd give our own.
Do you have storage?+
Yes — climate-controlled, secure short and long-term storage at our 16 Brienna Ct warehouse.
What areas do you serve?+
Staten Island, all five boroughs of NYC, Long Island, Westchester, New Jersey, and long-distance throughout the lower 48 states.
How far in advance should I book?+
Two to three weeks is ideal, especially for weekends and end-of-month dates. But call us — we often have crews available on short notice.

Can you give me a quote without coming to my house?+
Yes. Most local moves we can quote over the phone in 5 minutes. For larger or long-distance moves we offer a free in-home survey or a video walkthrough on FaceTime / WhatsApp.
What if my move date changes?+
It happens — closings get pushed, leases shift. Just call Bill. As long as we have notice, we'll re-schedule with no fee. We'd rather move you on the right day than the planned day.
Do you provide boxes and packing supplies?+
Yes. We sell boxes (small, medium, large, dish, wardrobe), tape, paper, and bubble wrap. We can drop them off ahead of your move so you can pack at your own pace.
How do tips work?+
Tips are appreciated but never expected. If you want to tip, the standard is $20–$40 per crew member for a typical local job, more for tough or long-distance moves. Cash is easiest for the crew.
What can't you move?+
Hazardous materials (paint thinner, propane, ammunition), perishables, and live plants for long-distance. Almost everything else — we've moved it.
Do you accept credit cards?+
Yes — all major cards, plus check, Zelle, and cash. Long-distance moves typically take a deposit at booking and balance on delivery.
